Kodak Black Heartbreak Kodak Mixtape Review

Kodak Black HeartBreak Kodak Mixtape Review
Rating: 1/10 (WORST MIXTAPE I HAVE EVER HEARD)
Favourite Track: Call You
Least Favourite Tracks: Running Outta Love, Acting Weird, Why You Always Gotta Go, Kicking In

On this review I will be reviewing a Mixtape released on valentines day 14th February 2018. It's the new Mixtape from Kodak Black called "HeartBreak Kodak".

Oh Gosh! this Mixtape is bad it's really bad. Kodak Black also known as 'Dieuson Octave' is an American rapper from Florida. He is better known for his singles "No Flockin", "Tunnel Vision". I am not a fan of his music I think his music is dreadful. He's one of the worst rappers that I have ever heard. He's flows are just wack. His voice is horrendous to listen to. The way he speaks he sounds like a retard. Kodak Black is one of the worst rappers in the game right now. Discussing more about Kodak he's 20 years old from Florida. He has released various projects from studio albums, to mixtapes. He is more of a mixtape artist since he has released more mixtapes than studio albums. I just dont understand how people can like him as a rapper. Since hearing this mixtape what did I think of it? It's has to be the worst mixtape I have ever heard. He flopped in singing with his terrible vocals. His flows in rapping is just awful. This mixtape is a car crash. This dickhead said that he is better than 'Tupac', 'Biggie'. Is this prick fucking serious. "Tupac", "Biggie" will always be better rappers that Kodak Black

I only have one favourite track on the mixtape which is "Call You" despite the flow is terrible I quite liked the production. Moving to my least favourite tracks which they were four least favourite tracks. "Running Outta Love" is a terrible track a terrible opener to the mixtape awful vocals. "Acting Weird" another awful track. "Why You Always Gotta Go" this track is just ear destroying to listen to. The production is really bad. "Kicking In" is another dreadful track. Majority of these tracks are awful.

Overall this was terrible. It was a waste of my time I would not want to listen to it again. Overall it's a 1/10.

Least Favourite Track: Finally
Franz Ferdinand - Always Ascending album cover art.png

On this review I will be reviewing an album released yesterday on the 9th February 2018. It is Franz Ferdinand fifth studio album called "Always Ascending".

Franz Ferdinand are a Scottish indie rock band from Glasgow. They were formed back in 2002. I wouldn't say that I am a big fan of this band but they are some albums that I often go back and listen to. "Franz Ferdinand" which is their self-titled debut album which I often go back and listen to. It's a strong indie rock album which won the Mercury Music Prize in 2004. It's my favourite album from them. I loved how the Indie Rock scene became a trend at the time. During 2004 Indie rock artists/bands were releasing singles in order to achieve chart success. Now days the charts are just so different now it's not what it used to be. Discussing more about their other albums. They have released five studio albums. "Franz Ferdinand" which is their self-titled debut album. A fantastic strong debut album of mixtures of indie rock, dance punk, dance rock. "You Could Have It So Much Better" their second album. It's another great album. I love how the songs are catchy that makes it stick to your head. 'Do you Want To' my favourite song on that album is an example of a song that sticks to your head which is easy to memorize. "Tonight: Franz Ferdinand" their third album which is the album that began their 'New wave' sound. It was an okay quite average if I'm being honest. "Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action" their fourth album I did not really like that album I thought it was their weak album. We now come to their fifth album "Always Ascending" it has been 5 years since they released an album. What did I think of their new album "Always Ascending"? I thought this album was a great album. I loved how their new wave sound is so much better than "Tonight: Franz Ferdinand". This album is more experimental than the last one. It's awesome it's unique. The tracks are just awesome definitely a great way to start the second month of 2018.

My favourite tracks on the album were "Lazy Boy" which is a great experimental, dance punk track to listen to it's groovy and very interesting track. "Paper Cages" What I love about "Paper Cages" is that it has a bit of 70s rock influence to it and probably the most underrated track on the album. "The Academy Award" probably my favourite track on the whole album. I love the build up of the lyrics. It's making us listeners feel who is the winner of the Academy Award. "Lois Lane" one of the strongest tracks on the album I loved the guitar riffs on this track. "Glimpse Of Love" my second favourite overall track on the album. Such an amazing track. I am loving how the New wave sound is making a comeback to 2018. My least favourite track was a track called "Finally". It's still a decent track just did not think it was the strongest on the album.

Overall I enjoyed this album. I thought it was better than their last one. I would obviously listen to it again. It's a 8/10.

Not3s Take Not3s Album Review

Not3s Take Not3s Album Review
Rating: 8/10
Favourite Tracks: Addison Lee, Aladdin, My Lover, Hasta La Vista
Least Favourite Track: 99+1
Image result for not3s take not3s

On this review I will be reviewing an album released back in November. On the 17th November 2017. It's is Not3s first music project called "Take Not3s".

For those who do not know who Not3s is. Not3s is a South London who has been the most exciting rapper to listen to. He was nominated for BBC Sound of Poll 2018 which unfortunate did not make it into the top 5. The BBC Sound of Poll identifies which artists is going to be big in 2018. The winner was 'Sigrid' a Female Norwegian Pop star. I feel that Not3s should have been in the top 5 since after all he is going to blow up and become mainstream. I first discovered 'Not3s' when he posted his track 'Addison Lee' I thought to myself this kid is going to be the next J Hus, Stormzy. The next day after the track was posted it became a trend on Twitter. I remember how everybody was tweeting about how Not3s was going to have a great year. And so far in 2017 he had a great year. But 2018 he will even have a better year once he releases another album and more upcoming tracks. I am a fan of Not3s I believe that he will change British Music for the next few years. Since hearing this album what did I think of it? I actually loved this album it's a great album it's well produced. The tracks are awesome.

My favourite tracks on the album were "Addison Lee" which is an excellent track his flows and bars are dope on this track. "Aladdin" another decent track not quite the strongest on the album but it's still a great track. "My Lover" which is just 'Not3s' version on the album not the one with 'Mabel'. I much prefer the collaboration version with 'Mabel'. The track is a bit annoying since it's to repetitive but I like it. "Hasta La Vista" great track to end the album. I love how it has some influence to UK Garage. My least favourite track was a track called "99+1" Did not really like this track that much I did not like the squeaky electronic noise in this track.

Overall I enjoyed this album it's a shame that it was a short album I feel that this album should have had more tracks. I would listen to it again. Overall it's an 8/10.

Jeff Rosenstock Post- Album Review

Jeff Rosenstock Post- Album Review
Rating: 9/10
Favourite Tracks: USA, Yr Throat, TV Stars
Least Favourite Track: Melba
JeffRosenstockPOST.jpg

On this review I will be reviewing an album released this year on the 1st January 2018. It is the third studio album by Jeff Rosenstock called "Post-".

Jeff Rosenstock is an American musician songwriter from Long Island in New York. He was the lead singer of the band of a Ska Punk band called 'The Arrogant Sons Of Bitches'. and he was also in another band called "Bomb The Music Industry". I first discovered Jeff back in 2015 with his debut album "We Cool?" which was a strong Punk Rock debut album. Despite I am not fan of Punk it's one of the most strongest Punk debut albums that I have ever heard. His second album "Worry" is an okay album not one of my favourites but it's still an okay album. Two years later Jeff is back with his third album "Post-". I was not expecting Jeff to release an album at the start of 2018. This album was written near the mountains shortly after the 2016 US Election. Some of the tracks were concerned about losing hope after what happen in 2016. Since hearing his new album what did I think of it I thought it was a great album. Despite I am not a fan of Punk. This album demonstrates on how great Punk is.

My favourite tracks on the album were USA which was a great track. It's well produced the lyrics are interesting. "Yr Throat" is a fucking awesome track. The track is proper hardcore despite I am not a fan of Punk music. "TV Stars another wicked track. The production was alright I feel that it should have been better. My least favourite track was a track called "Melba" just thought this was the weakest.

Overall I enjoyed this album. It was awesome. I would definitely listen to it again. It's a 9/10.

Least Favourite Track: Come Out To LA
Image result for don broco technology

On this review I will be reviewing an album released on the 2nd February 2018. It is the third studio album by Don Broco called "Technology".

Don Broco are a British rock band from Bedford in Bedfordshire which consists of four members. 'Rob Damiani' the lead vocalist, 'Simon Delaney' the guitar player, 'Matt Donnelly' the drummer and a vocalist, 'Tom Doyle' the bass player. I dont know much about this band but I have heard that they have been getting praised for this album. But I have also heard that it's been getting mixed reviews. Their sound is a mixture of Pop Rock, Alternative Rock, and Post-Hardcore. I am not a fan of Hardcore I think it's too aggressive. But I am a fan of Pop Rock, Alternative Rock. Discussing more about 'Don Broco' they have released three studio albums which are "Priorities" which is their debut album. "Automatic" is their second album. And their new album "Technology" is their third album. Since I have not heard their first two albums I cannot comment about it. But however since hearing their new album what did I think of it? I thought this album was average they were some alright tracks but they were some that I thought wasn't that good.

My favourite tracks were "T-Shirt Song". The bass instrumental is awesome the vocals are alright this is a decent track. "Everybody" another good track still think it should have been better. "Greatness" my overall favourite track on the entire album. I loved how it has some elements to Electronic. My least favourite track was a track called "Come Out To LA" it was just to weird.

Overall I wouldn't say I liked this album but I thought it was okay with some decent tracks. I dont think I would listen to it again. It's a 5/10

Skengdo X AM 2 Bunny Mixtape Review

Favourite Tracks: Mansa Musa, Macaroni
Least Favourite Track: 2 Bunny

On this review I will be revewing a mixtape released last year back in December 2017. It is a Drill duo mixtape by 'Skengdo' 'AM' called "2 Bunny",

Skengdo AM are a drill duo from Brixton Myatts Field. Who have become very popular over the last few months. I wouldn't say I am a big fan of drill but I do listen to some drill artists when I'm in the mood for Drill. I often listen to '67', 'Loski', 'Harlem Spartans'. I first discovered 'Skengdo', 'AM' back when they released a music video for 'Mansa Musa' which was an awesome video. Their flows were alright. Their verses were too good. It's one of my favourite tracks from the Mixtape. Despite this is going to be a short review I will discuss more on what I thought of this Mixtape. I thought it was a decent Mixtape. This Mixtape is on fire right now. I remember when this Mixtape was released everyone was going wild for it. I wasn't paying much attention to these guys, 2 months later I hear this Mixtape late. Since hearing this Mixtape what did I think of it? Well I thought this Mixtape was alright I can understand the praise that it was received by many hardcore drill fans. The production is excellent. This is an interesting Mixtape from a duo who I wouldn't say I am a big fan of. I would recommend to check out this Mixtape if you are into drill.

My favourite tracks were "Mansa Musa". This is a brilliant track I love the opener it's too good. The flows are dope, "Macaroni" which is my other favourite track on the Mixtape. Such a hard track it is one of the strongest tracks on the Mixtape. My least favourite track was a track that I found quite annoying and repetitive was "2 Bunny" I did not find this track interesting its just too repetitive. The production is just the same over and over again. It's just not the best track.

Overall I found this Mixtape good hopefully there will be more projects from them in the future. I would maybe listen to it again. Overall it's a 6/10

Least Favourite Track: Supplies

On this review I will be reviewing an album released today on the 2nd February 2018, It is the fifth studio album by Justin Timberlake called "Man Of The Woods".

Justin Timberlake is a singer, actor who has been in the music scene since he was in the pop group "*Nsync" back in the late 90s up to 2000s. I grew up with Timberlake's music through my childhood. I wouldn't say I am a big fan of Timberlake but I do like some of his music. For example I loved his debut album "Justified" which had some chart topping track on that album such as "Rock Your Body" my personal favourite, "SeƱorita", "Cry Me A River". This album was the kick off to his career. I often come back and listen to that album. Discussing more about his albums he has released 5 albums. "Justified" which is his debut and a brilliant pop masterpiece. His second album "Futuresex/Lovesounds" was an okay album only 1 banging song on that album "SexyBack". His third album "The 20/20 Experience Part 1" which is a fantastic album. "The 20/20 Experience Part 2" another great album I love the track "Take Back The Night" such a groovy disco funk track. And now we come over to his new album "Man Of The Woods" which I thought was bit of a big disappointment there were some average songs and some disappointing songs. Its such a shame because I actually thought this album was going to be good turns out it's not. I did like some of the songs on this album. But the rest wasn't the best.

Starting with my favourite tracks on the album "Filthy" which was released as Timberlake's first single for the new album. At first I did not like it but after hearing it over and over again I started to like it, It's a catchy funky electronic tune to dance to. "Higher Higher" which is another good song. I thought it was an alright track. "Wave" which is the best track on the album and my personal favourite on the album. I love this track it's simply a great track to listen to depending on your mood. My least favourite track was a track called "Supplies" when I first heard this track I was very disappointed. It is the worst Justin Timberlake track I have ever heard.

Overall I thought this album was average/dissapointing. I am just unsure if I would listen to the whole album again. I will listen to my favourite tracks on it. The rating is a 5/10.

On this review I will be reviewing an album which was released on the 19th January 2018. It is the fourth studio album by 'First Aid Kit' called "Ruins

First Aid Kit are a Swedish Folk duo sisters who I have discovered this year. Which consists of two sisters "Johanna Soderberg", "Klara Soderberg". They are a cute sisterly duo from Sweden who make 'Folk' music. Since I am a fan of 'Folk' music I am quite impressed on how their voices blend together. This is going to be a hard review since I have only discovered this folk duo. 'First Aid Kit' have released 4 albums "The Big Black And The Blue" which is their first album. "The Lion's Roar" which is their second album. "Stay Gold" their third album. and "Ruins" their fourth album. Since hearing their new album what did I think of it? I thought it was a great album. Quite surprised on how great this folk album is. It's a great way to start for the 'Folk' industry. I would definitely recommend to listen to this album.

Starting of with my favourite tracks "It's A Shame" which is a good song their vocals were alright on this track. "Fireworks" an average track. "My Wild Sweet Love" a great song Definitely my personal favourite on the album. It's such a romantic sweet song. Beautiful voices it sounded more like American Folk on this track. "Distant Star" this was a decent song loving the sound of this great track. "Hem Of Her Dress" One of the strongest on the album quite an underrated track. Moving to my least favourite track which was "Rebel Heart". I thought this wasn't the best track to start the album. It's okay I just thought wasn't the strongest to start up the album.

Overall I enjoyed this album I thought it was a fantastic album. I would listen to it again. It's a 8/10.
