On this review I will be reviewing the new album from A$AP Rocky which was released on the 25th May 2018 this year. It's the third studio album by 'ASAP Rocky' called "Testing".
A$AP Rocky also known as 'Rakim Mayers' is an American rapper from Harlem New York who is a member of the Hip Hop group 'ASAP Mob'. In 2007 he joined 'ASAP Mob' which was formed by 'A$AP Yams', 'A$AP Bari', and 'A$AP Illz'. Rocky released the single "Purple Swag" which became the street anthem in New York City at the time. I am not a fan of A$AP Rocky I dont think he is a great rapper. But he has some decent lyrics and flows. Discussing about his discography he has released three studio albums "Long, Live ASAP" his debut studio album a decent project I would say it's his best album which has some decent collaborations such as 'Drake', '2 Chainz', 'Kendrick Lamar', 'Skrillex', 'Danny Brown', 'Big Krit', 'Yelawolf' and many more. His second studio album "At, Long, Last, ASAP" which is not his best album even though his debut album was better than his second album. Good collaborations from 'Kanye West', 'Rod Stewart', 'Miguel', 'Mark Ronson' and many more. Which now bring us to his third studio album "Testing" since hearing his new album what did I think of it? This album is bad it's really bad. it's just awful. However the collaboration was alright but there were some collaboration that was not the best. Kodak Black collaboration on the track "Calldrops" was awful. I was quite surprised 'FKA Twigs' was featured on this album since I am a fan of her music. I thought the track "Fukk Sleep" featuring 'FKA Twigs' was alright. This album is just not that good.
My favourite tracks on the album "Praise The Lord (Da Shine)" featuring 'Skepta this track is the best one on the entire album. Their flows were too good. "Changes" which I thought was an alright track alright production decent flows. "Purity" featuring the talented 'Frank Ocean' this track is a great track the second best on the entire album. My least favourite track was "Calldrops" featuring 'Kodak Black' did not like this track it's annoying.
Overall I would not listen to the album again. This album was not good. I am giving this album a 3/10.
