On this review I will be reviewing an album which was released this year today on the 15 December 2017. It is Eminem's ninth studio album called "Revival".
Eminem is a famous rapper from Detroit who has had a successful career during the beginning of the 2000's. He has released some great albums such as "The Slim Shady LP", "The Marshall Matters LP", and "The Eminem Show". Since 2010 his discography has not been great "Recovery" which is an album I did not really like. "Marshall Matter LP 2" It's an okay album it's better than "Recovery". Eminem is back with his ninth studio album "Revival". This album has some okay songs and some songs that I thought were not good. I think this album was a huge disappointment. It's such a shame because I grew up listening to Eminem through my childhood times. I feel like this is the end of his career he will never make another great like "The Slim Shady LP" and "The Marshall Matters LP". My favourite Eminem album is "The Slim Shady LP" which is his second studio album. Great album with great tracks such as "My Name Is", "Brain Damage","Role Model" and many more. The new album "Revival" was just not for me the album is a huge disappointment. The production on some tracks were not good. We all have to admit the truth that the old 'Eminem' is not coming back.
My favourite tracks on the album were "Walk On Water", "River", "Tragic Endings", "Nowhere Fast". Starting of with "Walk On Water" such a great song with fantastic vocals from Beyonce. Even though I am not a big fan of Beyonce. "River" fantastic song with great collaboration with Ed Sheeran. "Tragic Endings" another strong track with Skylar Grey which she normally collabs more with Eminem. "Nowhere Fast" it is featured with the smooth vocals by Khelani. Such a great track. My least favourite track was a track called "In Your Love". I didnt really like how they used a sample from an Irish band called The Cranberries with their song "Zombie".
Overall I did not enjoy this album. I think it's one of Eminem's worst album. I would only listen to some tracks not the full album. I would give this album a 5/10.
