On this review I will be reviewing an album which was released this year back in January. On the 13th January 2017. It is The xx third studio album called "I See You".

The xx are a British Indie-pop trio from Wandsworth South London. Who were formed back in 2005 when they were still in secondary school. When they first started they were a quartet (group of 4 people). The members are 'Oliver Sim', 'Romy Madley Croft' and 'Jamie Smith'. This is the current members of the band. The fourth member 'Baria Qureshi' left the band in 2009. I am a fan of this band they are one of my top 5 favourite bands. I have all of the albums that they have released. They have release three albums which are "xx" which is their debut album. "Coexist" which is their second album. And of course their third album "I See You". Discussing more about their albums their debut album "xx" is my favourite album from the band. This album won the Mercury music prize in 2010. Their debut album "xx" has fantastic tracks such as "VCR", "Crystalised", "Basic Space","Islands", "Night Time" and many more. When I first heard their debut album I felt really impressed since it was something different. It was more of 'Dream Pop', and 'Indie Pop'. Their second album "Coexist" was more spacey and more indie pop. I really love the track "Reunion". 5 years later they release their third album "I See You". Since hearing this album what did I think of it? I really enjoyed this album. 'The xx' are one of those bands that never disappoints their fans.

My favourite tracks on the album were "Dangerous", "Say Something Loving", "A Violent Noise", "Brave For You", "On Hold", "Test Me". Starting of with "Dangerous" which is the opening track to the album. Jamie's production is really mind blowing on this track. Jamie Smith also known as Jamie xx is one of my favourite producers. "Say Something Loving" another fantastic track one of the strongest tracks. "A Violent Noise" which is only Oliver's vocals on this track it's a decent track. "Brave For You" this one blew my mind away due to the fact I felt impressed with the production. "On Hold" fantastic track I really loved how they sampled Hall & Oates track "Cant Go For That". "Test Me" I enjoyed this track as well it was great track to end the album. My least favourite track was a track called "I Dare You" not my favourite track but it's an okay track.

Overall I really thought this album was good. I would defintley listen to this album again. I would give this album an 8/10
